While most platforms focus on selling you the brightest bulb, ECE-LEDr focuses on the right bulb. We operate independent photometric laboratories equipped with calibrated Goniophotometers and Integrating Spheres to test LED retrofits against the strict requirements of UN Regulation No. 37 (ECE R37).
Our team has decades of combined experience in automotive lighting systems, regulatory compliance, and optical engineering. We understand both the science behind light distribution and the legal framework that governs its use on public roads.

If a product fails our glare test, it does not get our "Approved" badge, regardless of the brand.

Why ECE R37 Matters
For decades, upgrading to LED meant breaking the law. Halogen headlights were designed for halogen bulbs, and any modification - no matter how advanced - was technically illegal.
UN Regulation No. 37 (ECE R37) changed everything. For the first time, regulators established a legal framework for LED retrofit bulbs that can be installed in existing halogen housings.
But approval is not automatic. Each LED must prove it can replicate the beam pattern of its halogen predecessor with extreme precision. That is where we come in.
